Saturday we had the first snowfall of the season. It wasn’t quite enough to go build a snowman, and not that I would want to either.
The temperature dropped to 30 degrees and continued to drop to 5 degrees on Sunday morning. While it eventually warmed up into the mid-20’s it was still too cold for me to go outside.
I don’t know about you but I don’t like the cold weather. I often think about how nice it would be to go walk in the snow, build a snowman, go sledding or even ice skating on a brisk winter morning.
However, I don’t like being cold. I don’t like wearing layers upon layers of clothes under a bulky coat. I know I’m probably sounding like a bit of a grump, but I always feel like I don’t get to experience winter festivities because I hate the cold. Most winter days I wish I could just stay in bed with a warm blanket, but that just isn’t practical.
Of course, I shouldn’t be complaining much. While we had below-freezing weather and snow this past weekend, this week we are supposed to gradually reach up to about 60 degrees on Christmas day.
That’s the thing about Oklahoma, the weather is never the same for long, and can drastically change in a matter of hours. I’ve experienced such events first hand.
Despite ups and downs of Oklahoma weather, I’ve actually been super busy this month working on Holiday gift related sewing projects. Which I hope I will finish before Christmas Eve… though I make no guarantees.
Along with the gifts I’m making I also took part in some fun holiday themed collaboration projects. First one being the DIY Christmas Gift Collab project on Youtube. Then there is #The LittleRedDressProject which my first attempt didn’t go as planned, so now I’m having to start over and the deadline is Wednesday. Engage panic mode.
Aside from all these projects I also wanted to do something really special for my subscribers! I’m actually hosting a really great giveaway full of fun prizes. All you have to do to enter is complete my subscriber survey.
I’ll be announcing the winner on Dec 31, so be sure to tune in for that. I might even do a live reveal (I’ll let you know if I do).
Anyways that’s it for me. I hope you guys are having a very happy holiday season and love to hear what all you’ve got going on 😉
I’m totally with you girl! Snow looks great in a picture, but in my street, no thank you. In cold weather im happiest snuggled away under my duvet with Netflix!
Yes, Christina that’s my idea of winter fun 😉
