It’s hard to believe that the Go Blog Social (#GBS2014) event is just one day way.
I am super excited for the weekend and can’t wait for the sessions and networking to commence. It’s also nice to be attending an event as an attendee instead of as coordinator, as in the G3 Expo.
I can’t even begin to name off the many speakers and exhibitors at #GBS2014 that I’m eager to meet.
Since I’m all packed and read for the event I thought I’d go over what I have planed to keep me organized for the event.
First I’ll be taking my business cards. I packed them earlier as I always seem to forget to bring any with me. I’ll be brining both a set of my Pitt State University business cards and my custom designed Akram’s Ideas cards.
Next big item on my list of must haves is my trusty iPad equipped with the Evernote app. If you aren’t using Evernote you should be.
This handy mobile and online app, always you take notes and store them in the cloud. Your notes can be synced up with your devices, which make for easy access later. Evernote is one impressive application with many ways it can be used. For me I’ll be using this nifty app to take general notes throughout the meeting.
Another must have app is the WordPress app. This app lets me write blog posts directly from my iPad, this way I can post daily recaps of the event, while the wonderful information I receive there is still fresh on my mind.
I also will have a digital download of the Go Blog Social Schedule on my iPad. This ensures that I keep track of when and where I need to be at the event. It’s also a great reference for when I write my recap post about the event.
While Go Blog Social has been posting about all the snacks they will be handing out from the sponsors, I plan to take water with me. just so I don’t get too dehydrated.
Whether it’s running around the Berg event center, or walking around down town to grab some lunch, I need a good pair of comfy, yet stylish shoes. Therefore I plan to wear my adorable saddle shoes.
We’ll I think those are the main essentials! I packed and ready to go and just can’t wait to get the show started!
