Everyone has that song, that no matter how bad you are feeling when you hear it you can’t help but sing along and smile.
Music just has a way of brightening up the soul. I’m not sure what it is and wish I had some musical talent myself, but alas I am pretty much tone deaf.
Anyways, speaking of uplifting songs, I love the new Justin Timberlake song. Normally I don’t really care for his songs, never been a really big fan, that’s more my sister, @fatebee, sort of thing.
Still the song “Can’t Stop the Feeling” has such a catching tune. I love the lines that go :
I got that sunshine in my pocket
Got that good soul in my feet”
Things seem to be so wacky right now, and I’m not just talking about me personally. Have you watched the news recently? I mean come on, what’s wrong with the world?
While I could dread about things I’ve decided to look at the brighter side of things, and put that “sunshine in my pocket”.
Speaking of Sunshine
This month I am super excited to share my #RetroTikiCollab project and give away. Be sure to check back Friday for all the details.
In the coming weeks I’ll also be sharing my talk at Tulsa Tech Fest, where I am presenting on how to automate your social media accounts.
Then once I wrap up the last of my summer sewing challenges I think I’m going to take it easy for the rest of August. While I say that, still expect 3 posts a week with a new Youtube video every Friday.
Speaking of Youtube, I can’t wait till September. That’s when I will start preparing my Halloween special videos. Ooh so excited, so stay tuned.
Halloween videos! Sounds exciting!! 😀
Doesn’t it though, Kira.
I love Halloween so some halloween themed videos seemed like a good idea.
How wonderfully exciting! I’m in full-on fall + Halloween mode on the blogging and fashion front these days, too. I’m brainstorming and starting to write autumn related posts and can hardly wait to throw myself into such body, mind and soul once we’re back from our trip to Edmonton next month. Three huge cheers for all and all the fun, creative potential it houses.
xoxo ♥ Jessica
Miss Jessica, I hope you have fun on your trip next month. I know what you mean about fall on the brain. I’ve got all sorts of plans and can’t wait to get out the Halloween decor and pumpkin spice 😉
