It’s hard to believe it was about a year ago me and my husband up and moved to Tulsa. Moving to a tiny apartment and me with my job status kind of in limbo. Eventually when I did get a job, it was in a completely different city. This meant moving into my mother-in-laws for the week and driving back on the weekend.
Let’s just say the last six-month to a year have been rough. Life has thrown me for a hulahoop and left me feeling like an exhausted pigeon. However, last month I decided to put sunshine in my pocket and hope for the best.
After all you gotta just say to yourself “Good things are going to happen”
When the world’s got you down, And you feel like sporting a frown

Speaking of good things I am happy to announce that we have a house! If you’ve been following me on social media or watching my YouTube you’ll know that I’m still in the process of unpacking. Which is why the blog has been kinda quiet lately.
You may have heard through social media that I also started a new job. I’m also happy to say I once again have a job in the same city as my husband!
After 15 years in higher education I have now changed careers and am Digital Marketer and Social Media coordinator for Ameristar Perimeter Security. Yes, me a social media marketer!
My goal for September is just get acclimated to my new job and home. With that said I still plan to make time for some new posts and new episodes of Akram’s Ideas on YouTube.
Lastly, I hope that September will be your month for good things to happen. Here’s hoping for the best !
