This past week the Joplin airport had a special open house event featuring the B-17 “Sentimental Journey” , which is one of the world’s few remaining airworthy B-17s. My hubby loves airplanes and I knew when he mentioned the event, that we had to go.
The event was free to go to and featured several different types of planes. There was a few dollars donation charge though if you actually wanted to get on board the B-17 and look around, which of course we had to do.
I could go on and talk about the planes and events, but I think the pictures I took will tell it better than I can.

Now on to the B-17. There was quite a crowd gathered around to see it. (sorry about my finger being in the shot)
