The Honest Craft Room Look at My Sewing Room PART 1

Not long ago, Jenifer from the Sewing Report gave what she called an #HonestCraftRoom look at her sewing space over on Youtube

The idea is to show off your craft/sewing space as it is in its native form. No picture perfect, clean spaces, do those even exist?

My Sewing Room

I’ve been asked by a few followers to do a tour of my sewing space. At first, like many other people out there I’m sure, I wanted to get the space in a somewhat clean and organized manner before sharing it. However, after seeing Jenifer‘s post, I thought, she’s right! After all, I use my sewing room like all the time, it’s never going to be pristine.

So, with that said I’ve decided to share my #HonestCraftRoom look at my sewing room with you, as it is in its natural state.

The Entry

I love my vintage fashion posters

My sewing room is at the end of the hall. Along the walls of the hall, I used the space to hang my lovely collection of vintage fashion posters.

I also have a lovely dress form decoration which hangs on the door outside my sewing room.

My Epic Peg Board

My peg board is probably my favorite thing about the room

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen a few pictures of my epic peg board. My darling hubby put this up for me during spring break, while I was at work.

When I came home I was ecstatic to see my massive 8 ft. by 4 ft. peg board along one wall. I quickly went about putting all my most used tools on the board.

This has been the biggest time saver ever! No more looking for scissors or rulers, they are all on the board and within an easy reach away. Also, I’ve been very good about putting things back where they go when I’m done.

 Too-Much Sewing Room

There was just too much sewing room to fit into a single episode of Akram’s Ideas. So, I’ve had to break it up into two parts.

Look for the epic continuation of my #HonestCraftRoom sewing room tour next week on Akram’s Ideas!

Speaking of the #HonestCraftRoom I’d love to see yours! Share a link in the comments below to your craft room and don’t forget to use the hashtag when sharing on social media.
