Happy New Year everyone!

I hope that all of you out there had a great new years. I myself have been super busy the last two weeks with an unexpected move, yes again!

Many of you know that I moved this last summer, this time the move wasn’t across state lines, just from the one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom. It wasn’t a big move, but needless to say it did require a lot of packing and I’m still unpacking.

On the plus side, I now have a proper craft/sewing room. Though I still haven’t fully unpacked it, so I won’t be able to get some projects done, until I do. I’m hoping to wrap the unpacking this week.

Once I’m fully unpacked and settled in my new place I hope to begin work on all the great things I have planned this year. The first and foremost is starting my own YouTube channel. I’ve teased about doing this in the past, but this year I’m actually going through with it. I’ll have more on that a little later this month.

I also plan to put more time and effort into Akram’s Ideas. This site is more than just a blog, it’s my creative outlet and I would like to put more into it and hopefully get more out of it. My goal is to have regularly updated posts and more valuable content for my amazing readers, you guys rock!

Back in November I wrote about being unmotivated and how as a creative individual I wanted to do the unexpected. Therefore my mantra for 2016 is “to do the unexpected” . Things I’ve only dreamt about doing, but never really followed through with.

It might sound great but like most mantras you read on the Internet, is it really practical, will I be able to pull it off? Only time will tell, but the fortune cookie I got the other night made me feel like my plan for 2016 was off to a good start!
