That’s right I’ve finally going to be locked up! Of course not that I did anything illegal mind you. Granted in the past I may have been accused of stealing cookies from a cookie jar, those charges were dropped without ever making it to trail.
This time however, my time in jail is actually voluntary. Thursday, February 12 I will be joining other community leaders to help raise critical funds for Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), as part of The MDA Lock- Up of Pittsburg KS.
MDA Lock-Up
MDA is the worldβs leading nonprofit health organization sponsoring research seeking the causes of and effective treatments for neuromuscular diseases. I’m always happy to donate my time and charity to medical research.
I was nominated to participate this year event, having been told that my nominator said I had a great sense of humor, I couldn’t argue with that. Even had I not been nominated I probably would have still participated in some way or form.
As for the lock-up itself, the so called “bail” money will be going towards the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) foundation and specifically used for getting children the much needed flu vaccine.
The goal this year is for all participants to make at about $800. All you have to do is click here to make a secure, online donation today. Your support will help families living in our community with muscle disease, and help guarantee that I get out of jail. I will be sure to add you to my list of contributors.
Help me make bail!
While, some of those I know might be shouting “Lock her up and throw away the key”, I really do need your help in making bail.
Please support me in this important goal by visiting my fundraising page and making a contribution. Your tax-deductible donation makes a difference to the hundreds of kids, adults and their families who live right here in our local community.
After all, many of you know I can’t stand small-enclosed spaces, so jail isn’t really for me. Also, in case you are wondering yes I do own a straight jacket with padlocks. Why you may ask? Good question.
I’m going to share your post on my fb page! I have CMT which is affiliated with MD so I really really appreciate you doing this!!! Thank you so much!! xox Daffny
Thank you Daffny! I’m always happy to support a good cause, especially MDA. Ever since I was a kid I remember my family donating to MDA, so I’m glad I can carry on that tradition. Hopefully someday they will find a cure, until the I’ll be supporting this and other such causes.
