I was just wondering what happened to the month of May and wouldn’t you know it somehow June flew by now it’s the Fourth of July.

First, let me start by saying Happy Birthday USA! I hope all of you out there are having a great holiday. As for me I managed to purchase a small variety of fireworks and think I will be much entertained later this evening.

Now, getting back with where did my summer runoff to? As I’ve made brief mention in a previous post I’ve got a lot of life things going on right now. Nothing too crazy and mostly just work related. However, it’s really caused a lot of uncertainties and given me a horrible lack of motivation to do anything.

If my mental exhaustion wasn’t enough I started having an ache in my lower back. After a few weeks of this constant ache, my husband suggested I go see my doctor. I feared that it might be kidney stones, but as it turns out I have a pulled sacrum.

What the heck is a sacrum? It’s apparently a the muscle near the end of the spine just above the tailbone. Apparently, women are more prone to pulling this muscle, something to do with our hips and how we stand. It also turns out that setting for long periods can make it worse. Hello, computer professor, I set all day at a desk.

I was prescribed some prescription Aleve and told to do yoga. So, far I’m doing better, so that’s a plus.

On the flip side, I’ve been achy so I haven’t been motivated to do much, let alone blog. I haven’t even read any of my favorite blogs in a while, so sad. But July is  a new month and things are, cross my fingers, going to all start to come together soon.

In the meantime I hope to be getting back to my regular blog posting schedule and catch up with everyone on some recent projects I’ve worked on.

With that said, here’s to July which is also National Ice Cream month, so it can’t be all that bad!
