McCall’s Spring Inspiration & #EasterSpringDress2017 Giveaway

The #EasterSpringDress2017 is well underway but it’s not too late to get started and participate.

Plus, we are super egg-cited to have partnered with The McCall Pattern Company for this event.

McCall Pattern Company Spring Inspiration

McCall Pattern Company whose brands consist of McCall’s, Butterick, Vogue and  Kwik Sew have pattern lineup this spring.

With our partnership with McCall, I thought I would share with you some inspiration for your #EasterSpringDress2017 , if you haven’t already started, or just joining in.

McCall’s Spring Pattern

McCall’s spring pattern line has quite a few really great patterns fro this sewalong.

Starting with M7567 Nicole Miller designed wrap dress. This dress looks super comfy and stylish at the same time.

I also love M7577 cross bodice romper or jumpsuit, not a traditional Easter dress, but I think in some spring floral print the jumpsuit would look amazing. It totally reminds me of something Siรขn from Kittenish Behaviour would wear.

Butterick Spring Pattern

Butterick spring line has several great projects for Easter.

Butterick 6463, 6453, and 6449 are all great spring patterns

Butterick 6463 is a great spring wardrobe starter. It features a dolman sleeved jacket, blouse or dress option, pencil skirt and semi-fitted pants. This is a great option if you want something more versatile.

Gertie from Blog for Better Sewing also released her latest pattern Butterick 6453. This is has got to be the quintessential spring dress. Plus, Gertie is currently hosting a sewalong for this pattern on her blog Blog for Better Sewing. Bianca from Vintage on Tap is sharing a video sewalong series for this pattern as well.

For a more casual spring look, Butterick 6469 might be just the right pattern. This princess seamed knit pullover dress can be made in both midriff or maxi length.

Vogue Spring Pattern

Princess seams are quite popular with many of this season’s patterns.

Vogue 1537 definitely takes inspiration from the 1960’s with the shift dress and matching jacket. The jacket details and princess seams really make this pattern one worth checking out.

Vogue 1537, 9239, and 1536 all feature lovely princess seams

Another classic princess seam dress is Vogue 9239,  featuring a slim or gathered skirt. The dress includes several sleeve variations, but personally, I adore the bell sleeves.

If you are looking for something to transition into your work wardrobe Vogue 1536 might be it. This fitted princess seam dress comes with a very unique shaped cropped jacket.

Kwik Sew Spring Pattern

If you are going for a more modern casual look, Kwik Sew has a pair of patterns that be the one.

Short on time but still want to join the sewalong,  K4208 is a great top set to pair with an existing skirt or over jeans. This pattern features a drapey loose fitted jacket and knit tank.

K4206 features a modern high-low gathered dress. This is a perfect spring to summer transition piece.
